I know that the majority of our readers are in areas that focus marketing efforts on a “seasonal” basis and I cannot discourage this enough. While focusing on seasonal guests is important, don’t forget to stay in the spotlight during the “off season.” Use of marketing to re-establish and cultivate relationships with local residents is very important. Who do you think the seasonal guest asks for a referral from? A local full-time resident! So this is not the time to fade…keep shining!
